Age of Adolescence is Janrik’s debut full-length album. The record hovers between the pressure and empty space in its themes, only occasionally detouring into song-like form (such as in Flatland and Solidão). In fact, it’s not easy to find motivic material in a record that pushes into into such big topics. A good one to play loud and allow dynamics to come and go.

The mix, or rather stem mix since Janrik did the first part of the mix upon production, was a very musical endeavor, mostly looking the direct the movement of every track rather than obsess about timbre. I ended up expanding some of the producer’s ideas to such an extent that it became an additional layer of production.
